I’m planning some exclusive interviews with the developers, localization team, and marketing/PR staff I will have here (feel free to let me know what kinds of questions you want answered and by whom, either in the comments here or on the Ask Capcom board). Aside from that, these “Sightings” category posts will have links to some recent (and not-so-recent) interviews you can read online.

So, without further ado…
Older interview from earlier this year with Inafune. It gets into more details about the game, the multiplayer mode, and making games for an American audience, etc.
Recent interview on UGO with Jun Takeuchi, the more hands-on producer of the game (Inafune is in more of an executive producer role). In the interview he talks about the game’s storyline, the role of thermal energy, some of the over-the-top weapon and grenade designs, stage/level variety, multiplayer modes, and more.
Here’s a Gamespot interview from TGS with Inafune.
Here’s some recent pictures of the inside of our HQ over in Osaka, as featured on the Kotaku website. Within the text is a link to their recent interview with Inafune as well, so check that out. You’ll also notice in that first picture that Ben has put his own spin on the popular “V” hand gesture (for “victory,” often pronounced like the word “buoy” as they don’t have a “v” sound in Japanese), a common reflex among Japanese people whenever a camera is pointed in their direction. I’m not sure what it means, or what he thinks it means, but knowing Ben (and judging from that grin on his face), I’m not sure I want to know…
Coming next week, I’ll have some pictures and details of some multiplayer testing we’re doing with Japan tonight, along with the After Hours event in San Francisco Gamespot is holding tomorrow (Saturday). If you’re in the Bay Area, come by and check out Lost Planet and all the other cool games that will be on display.
