Lost Planet Xbox 360 ProducerWith the PC version of Lost Planet just around the corner (the 26th of June to be exact), Gamespot recently interviewed Producer Jun Takeuchi about the PC version and the challenges of bringing it to both XP and Vista, both DX9 and DX10. You can read it here. And if you missed the candid interview I did with Takeuchi-san back in January, you can still read it here.

This video footage, showing exclusive new footage of some of the multiplayer maps in the works, was recently made public in Japan. The first map is Battleground, which people who purchased the Collector’s Edition of the game have already been enjoying. But the video features 3 new never-before-seen maps beyond that.

Post a comment and let me know what you think of the new maps.

You may recognize the name Jamie Christopherson from my interview with Soundelux audio designer Peter Zinda, and from my interview with Tomoya Kishi, Capcom sound director on the Lost Planet team.

Jamie is the composer at Soundelux who composed the majority of the music for Lost Planet. Gamespot has posted a great interview they did with him. Very interesting read. Check it out!

Lost Planet Xbox 360 trailer GameTrailersSo you saw the theatrical trailer for Lost Planet in the theater a few weeks ago, and earlier this week you downloaded it to your 360 from Marketplace (and did this to Microsoft’s servers). Now the trailer is available on GameTrailers.com, in both HD and low-res versions, for you to watch on your computer over and over and over. They also have a bunch of other Lost Planet videos, and some cool Capcom vids as well.

Scarlett, Capcom’s resident gamer lady, recently did an interview with me. Check it out here.

And check back here on my blog tomorrow, as the first of 3 parts of my interview with Lost Planet Art Director Takahiro Kawano.

For those living in or visiting New York city this December, be sure to head down to Times Square to be a part of (Lost Planet) history.

Starting Monday (12/4) and running through New Year’s Eve, a special 60-second trailer for LP will be running on NBC’s 3,000 square foot SharpVision HD screen at the corner of 42nd and 7th.

If you happen to be there and catch it, take some pics and send them in and I’ll throw them up here on the blog!

PS – I don’t actually say “peeps” or do shout-outs in real life.

I trust you’ve already checked out other coverage of our recent MVP Summit at Microsoft. Well, I’ve finally had a chance to catch up a bit with my other work and get around to posting my pictures from the event.

So I flew down on Thursday afternoon with Alicia and Phil. We checked into our hotel, and then swung by MS to check in with the Community team there. They were busy setting up the two rooms we would be using the following day.

After that we had some time so we headed over to the Redmond Town Center. We popped our heads into the EB Games there, and then stuffed our faces (after a noon flight with no lunch) at Claimjumper’s.
